Osøya

Osøya (meaning outlet island translated from Norwegian ) is an island off the Prince Harald coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located in the middle of the Osen Bay , which in turn is located on the east side of the Lützow-Holm Bay on the north side of the Skarvsnes peninsula .

Norwegian cartographers, who named it after the Bay of Osen, mapped it using aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 .
