content

The series showed humorous skits on current events from society, politics and sport. Some characters were recurring, such as the "O Chato" (German for "The Nervesaw") portrayed by Nuno Lopes , or the homophobic duo of the two shirt-sleeved "Panisgas" (German for "Tucken") , who always speculated about possible gay men . , portrayed by Bruno Nogueira and Eduardo Madeira. In addition, news programs were satirized , well-known soccer stars were imitated, and media events or successful television formats were mocked in supposedly real reports . From the 10th episode, Bruno Nogueira conducted street interviews on mostly controversial topics from the current news. The aim here was to provide entertaining, often small-minded answers, which the respondents gave either out of disguised ignorance or a lack of differentiation.

Format and duration

The programs, each about 40 minutes long, were broadcast on Sunday evenings at 10.15 p.m. on the first channel of the public service RTP ( Rádio e Televisão de Portugal ). The first season ran from May 4, 2008 to October 9, 2008. The second season was aired from October 16, 2008 to January 25, 2009, and the third season from May 3, 2009 to August 2 2009. The show was quite popular, so that the first two seasons have already been released as a DVD box. The popularity of the series, however, was limited by the simultaneous success of the SIC comedy series Gato Fedorento . Inquiries from the press and viewers about a fourth season have always been answered by saying that no sequel is planned, but that it could still follow.
