Osama Heikal (* 20th century ) is an Egyptian politician . He was in 2011 and again became Egypt's Minister of Information on December 22, 2019.

Life

Heikal was from July 24 to December 6, 2011 information minister of his country after the Maspero demonstrations of Christian Copts in Cairo on 9 October 2011, a group of human rights organizations in October 2011 at the Egyptian prosecutor lawsuit filed sedition against Heikal one. This related to reporting on state television and calls for people to take to the streets armed and support the army against “Christian extremists”. Heikal was no longer a minister at the presentation of Prime Minister Gansuri's new cabinet in December 2011.

On December 22, 2019, Heikal was reappointed Minister of Information.
