Oscar Bolz

Oscar Bolz (born May 1, 1879 in Magdeburg , † June 26, 1935 in Sopot ) was a German dentist and chamber singer .

Life

After attending school, Bolz studied dentistry at the University of Berlin. After a few years as a practicing dentist, he devoted himself to singing and began studying music at the Stern Conservatory in Berlin. After his first employment in Olomouc in 1900, Oscar Bolz made it up to the Württemberg and Saxon chamber singer.

In 1922 he received his doctorate from Berlin University as Dr. med. dent. The topic of his dissertation was On the anatomical-physiological conditions of the singing voice with special consideration of the shape of the palate .

He died during a stay on the Baltic Sea.
