Oscar Fernandes
Oscar Fernandes (born March 27, 1941 in Udupi , Karnataka ) is an Indian politician ( Congress Party ) and was last Minister for Labor and Employment in the government of Manmohan Singh in 2013-14 . In the first coalition government under Manmohan Singh 2004-8 he was also a minister.
Fernandes is a Catholic and has been married to Blossom Fernandes since 1981 and has a son and a daughter. As an elected MP, he represented the constituency of Udupi from 1980 to 1996 in the Lok Sabha .
