Óscar Diego Gestido
Óscar Diego Gestido Pose (born November 28, 1901 in Montevideo , † December 6, 1967 there ) was a Uruguayan politician from the Partido Colorado .
Gestido was elected president on November 27, 1966 after the abolition of the National Council (Consejo Nacional de Gobierno, CNG), to which he previously belonged as a member of the national council for the local minority of the Colorados and here for the Lista 14 , and took office on March 1 1967 on. He was a representative of the sublemas Unión Colorada y Batllista , the Gestido-Pacheco faction, who were running under the Lema of the Partido Colorado . Gestido died after only nine months in office. His successor was its Vice President Jorge Pacheco Areco .
