Oscar Rizzato (born February 8, 1929 in San Giorgio delle Pertiche , Province of Padua , Italy ) is a retired Curia Archbishop .

Life

Oscar Rizzato was ordained a priest on July 4, 1954 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Diocese of Padua .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular Archbishop of Virunum on December 23, 1989, as well as almsman of the Apostolic Alms Administration and donated him episcopal ordination on January 6, 1990 ; Co-consecrators were the Archbishops of the Curia Giovanni Battista Re and Miroslav Stefan Marusyn .

On July 28, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
