Vienna Art Award
The Vienna Art Award ( spelling : viennaARTaward ) is a prize awarded by the Vienna State Committee Der Kunsthandel of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce . It is an honorary award for special services to art, its communication and marketing . It was awarded for the first time in 2002. The original name of this award was "OscART", but after the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences threatened a legal dispute in 2014 because of the similarity of the name to the film award " Oscar ", the award was renamed to viennaARTaward .
Since 2011, the award has been made every two years.
