Peter Paszkiewicz

Peter Paszkiewicz (* 1943 in Gmunden ) is an Austrian stone sculptor .

Live and act

After graduating from the Federal College for Wood Sculpture in Hallstatt, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna from 1962 under Josef Pillhofer and Hans Andre and graduated in 1967 with a diploma. Solo exhibitions and participation in group exhibitions and symposia accompany his work. He lives and works in Gaweinstal and Sankt Margarethen in Burgenland and from 1986 formed a team with the architect and painter Günter Miklenic and Kurt Weckel . He is a member of the Kunstforum Salzkammergut and the Upper Austrian Art Association and was its President and Vice President for several years. In this role he opened a number of the association's exhibitions.

In his works, Paszkiewicz strives for the highest possible degree of sensitivity and authenticity. The selection of materials, their processing, design considerations, surface effects, confident expression and location reference all form a holistic concept.
