Klaus Liedl

Klaus Liedl (born January 15, 1949 in Linz ) is an Austrian sculptor , painter and university lecturer .

Live and act

Liedl graduated from the Federal College for Wood and Stone Carving in Hallstatt from 1964 to 1967 and in Hallein until 1968 . From 1968 to 1970 he attended the sculpture class led by Walter Ritter at the Linz Art School . Afterwards he was Erwin Reiter's assistant for some time and had a corresponding teaching position from 1974 to 1980. In 1992 he was visiting professor for sculptural design at the Technical University of Graz . Liedl lives in St. Florian near Linz and is the initiator and organizer of the Floriana Literature Prize, which has been awarded every two years since 1993 . He has been a member of the MAERZ artists' association since 1978 .

  • Several works were purchased between 1971 and 2013 for the art collection of the province of Upper Austria
Sculptures
  • Liedl designed the bronze statue for the Felix Familia regional prize, which is awarded annually by the state of Upper Austria for particularly family-friendly projects.
