Elisabeth Vera Rathenböck

Elisabeth Vera Rathenböck (born March 27, 1966 in Linz , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian writer .

Life

Elisabeth Vera Rathenböck attended elementary school and grammar school in Linz . She studied journalism and communication sciences and Italian at the University of Vienna . In 1986 she took part in the International Summer Academy for Fine Arts in Salzburg ( Georg Eisler master class ). She then studied painting (Eric van Ess, Dietmar Brehm) and sculpture ( Erwin Reiter master class ) at the University of Artistic and Industrial Design in Linz and graduated in 1993 with a degree (Magistra artium). Rathenböck lives today in Garsten near Steyr in Upper Austria and Linz.

Elisabeth Vera Rathenböck works in the fine arts (painting, graphics) and is a member of the bvoe - Association of Artists in Upper Austria . Elisabeth Vera Rathenböck writes stories, plays, opera libretti and essays for art catalogs and art books. Elisabeth Vera Rathenböck is a member of the Graz Authors' Assembly and the Marlen Haushofer Forum.

In 1999 she received the talent promotion award for literature from the state of Upper Austria and recognition at the Marianne von Willemer Prize . Her dramatic work has been awarded the Dramatists' Prize of the State of Upper Austria several times. In 2005 and 2007 Rathenböck received a residency grant from the State of Upper Austria in Český Krumlov (Krumau). Her monodrama "Eiskind" staged by Aydin Isik was nominated for the Cologne Children's and Youth Theater Prize 2009 for the Horizont-Theater in Cologne .
