Oskar Bollschweiler

Oskar Bollschweiler (* 1935 in Weimar ) is a German vibraphonist . He lives in Schramberg.

In 1957 he founded the “Krisch Quartet” with Franz Krisch (1915–1973) (from 1965 the “Krisch Senior Quartet”). Bollschweiler plays several instruments. He received his musical training from his father. He is particularly fond of the vibraphone, with which he helped shape the quartet's music.

The greatest successes were winning twice at the “Ariola Competition” in 1962/63 in Stuttgart, as well as participating in the international amateur jazz festival in Vienna and Zurich (1963/1964) and third place at the international Schwaz Jazz Days (1963).
