Oskar Frank
Oskar Frank (born before 1955) is a former German table tennis player . He took part in the 1955 World Cup.
Frank played in the SC Motor Berlin club , which later integrated into TSC Oberschöneweide . With his men's team, he became East German champions in 1956 and 1957. He reached the semi-finals three times at the GDR Individual Championships in doubles, namely in 1956 with Lothar Pleuse , 1957 with Dieter Koch and 1959 with Uwe Wienprecht.
In 1955 he was nominated for the individual competitions of the World Cup in Utrecht. Here he had to compete in the individual qualifying round, where he won against H. Westerink (Netherlands) and Walter Spruyt (Belgium). Because of the defeat against Christian Awart (Austria) he was eliminated. The doubles with Heinz Schneider reached the second round against K. Gustafsson / Tony Larsson (Sweden), where it lost to Richard Miles / John Somael (USA).
