Oskar Grissemann
Oskar Grissemann (* December 2, 1889 ; † December 2, 1952 ), from a Tyrolean family, was an Austrian engineer who played an important role as a "craft uncle" from October 8, 1929 on Austrian radio and also emerged as the author of craft books . His broadcast at RAVAG is considered to be the forerunner of radio broadcasts such as Hobbythek .
Act
Grissemann developed the frequently recurring figures Wrucki (also: Wruki ) and his brother Bumpfi , which, like countless other objects, could be recreated at home according to instructions, as part of the Radio Wien - Handicraft Lessons (1929 and 1931) . The six-ball male Wruki acted as examination commissioner for the competition in the show.
After 1945 his handicraft instructions were published in the Wiener Kurier , starting with his most famous figure.
In the 1970s, Grissemann appeared on a record on the 50th birthday of ORF as one of the declared “radio favorites of that time”. In 1981, Oskar-Grissemann-Strasse in Vienna- Donaustadt (22nd district) was named after the radio presenter.
