Oskar Michael Hans Karl Prince of Prussia (born  May 6, 1959 in Bonn ) is the 37th Lord Master of the Order of St. John . In his private profession he is a media manager.

Life

He comes from the former Prussian royal house of the Hohenzollern and is the younger son of Wilhelm Karl Prince of Prussia (1922–2007) and Armgard von Veltheim (1926–2019). He has an older brother Wilhelm Karl jun. and one older sister, Donata-Viktoria.

He has been married to Auguste Zimmermann von Siefart since October 3, 1992, who was born in Amsterdam on May 16, 1962 . The couple have three children together: their son Oskar Julius Alvo Carlos Prince of Prussia (* 1993), their daughter Wilhelmine Princess of Prussia (* 1995) and Albert Burchard Carl Marcus Nikolaus Prince of Prussia (* 1998).

Prince of Prussia was in 1995 at the Free University of Berlin Dr. phil. PhD . As managing director of Discovery Channel Betriebs GmbH Germany, he was responsible for establishing the globally successful documentary film brand Discovery also in German-speaking countries. He accompanied the development of the ARD / ZDF children's channel as a founding agent. Under the umbrella of Burda New Media, he was responsible for founding numerous European joint ventures in the new media sector. In the “post-reunification era” he set up private radio stations in the new federal states for AVE Radioholding (the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group ) and became a member of the board of directors of the IBF Institute.

In 1999, the Prince of Prussia succeeded his father in the office of Lord Master of the Brandenburg Ballei of the Order of St. John, which is the German branch of the Order. The Grand Prior of the Order of Saint John in the Commonwealth , the British Prince Richard, 2nd Duke of Gloucester and the late Land Commander of the Order of St. John in the Netherlands, Prince Bernhard , and the High Patron of the Swedish Order of St. John, King Carl XVI. Gustaf , are distant relatives.

Awards

In May 2018, Prince of Prussia was awarded the Hungarian Order of Merit with a Star.
