Osman Pamukoğlu

Osman Pamukoğlu (born December 27, 1947 in Gerze , Sinop ) is a Turkish politician , author and former major general .

Life

Osman Pamukoğlu attended the Selimiye School of the Turkish Armed Forces and the Military University of the Land Forces. After graduating, he attended infantry combat school. He also enjoyed training at the Academy of the Armed Forces and the Academy of the Ministry of Defense .

From 1958 he was active in the Turkish army for 43 years . Between 1990 and 2001 he was stationed in Uzunköprü , Hakkâri , Northern Cyprus and Istanbul . He was involved in fighting against the PKK in the south-east of the country. He was retired on August 4, 2002.

On September 4, 2008, Pamukoğlu founded the Law and Equality Party ( Hak ve Eşitlik Partisi , HEPAR for short) and became its chairman. He is married and has two children.
