Osman Per (born June 20, 1973 - May 11, 1997 in Istanbul ) was a Turkish football player .

Career

Osman Per moved in his youth from TSV 07 Stuttgart to the Stuttgarter Kickers , where he made the leap into the club's amateur team. In the 1996/97 season Per could make his professional debut in the first team of the Kickers.

In May 1997, the midfielder traveled to Turkey to do a trial at Fenerbahçe Istanbul , where his friend Tayfun Korkut , with whom he already played in the youth team, was under contract. The club was convinced of Per and offered him a professional contract.

While still in Istanbul, he spoke to his family on the phone - told them about his dream that is coming true. Shortly afterwards, Osman Per was hit by a truck and died at the scene of the accident.
