Osmylus is a genus of the reticulated winged wing (Neuroptera). The area extends from Europe to East Asia.

features

The membrane of the wings is more or less spotted in all osmylus species. The individual species can be distinguished from one another on the basis of eidonomic characteristics.

The genus Osmylus was first described by Latreille in 1802 in Histoire naturelle, générale et particuliére, des Crustacés et des Insectes .
