Ostbüderich is a district and a district of the city of Werl in the Soest district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Until 1964, Ostbüderich was an independent municipality in the old district of Soest .

geography

Ostbüderich forms the eastern part of the Werl district of Büderich and extends on both sides of Schlesienstrasse. It has grown together structurally with the Westbüderich adjoining it to the west .

history

Since the 19th century, Ostbüderich formed a community in the Werl district of the Soest district in the Westphalian administrative district of Arnsberg . On January 1, 1964, Ostbüderich and West Büderich merged to form the new municipality of Büderich (Westphalia) . The municipality of Büderich (Westphalia) in turn became part of the city of Werl in 1969.
