Westbüderich is a district and a district of the city of Werl in the Soest district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Until 1964, Westbüderich was an independent municipality in the old Soest district .

history

Since the 19th century, Westbüderich formed a community in the Werl district of the Soest district in the Westphalian administrative district of Arnsberg . On January 1, 1964, Ostbüderich and West Büderich merged to form the new municipality of Büderich (Westphalia) . The municipality of Büderich (Westphalia) in turn became part of the city of Werl in 1969.
