The Eastern Beskids ( Ukrainian Східні Бескиди Schidni Beskydy , Polish Beskidy Wschodnie ) are a mountain range of the Eastern Carpathians in Poland ( Subcarpathian Voivodeship ), Ukraine , Slovakia and Romania . Insofar as the Carpathian trains east of the Polish-Ukrainian border within the borders of the former Second Polish Republic from before 1939 are also regarded as the Eastern Beskids, then the greater part of the Eastern Beskids lies in the Ukraine. As far as the East Beskids are only settled west of the Uschok Pass , then the Tarnica with 1346 m in the Bieszczady is the highest peak of the mountains.
