Former Ostein-Riedheim-Hof

The Ostein-Riedheim-Hof was built in 1730 by Gabriel de Gabrieli as a canon court for Lothar Johann Hugo Franz von Ostein . This rococo palace with a mansard hipped roof as well as a central risalit and stuccoed facades still stands today in Eichstätt at Luitpoldstrasse 1. The Oststein coat of arms can be seen on the gable and the Riedheim coat of arms on the balcony railing . After renovation (1992–1994) by Karljosef Schattner , the former canon court has housed the administrative rooms of the Ordinariats- and Diocesan Archives since 1993, including a spacious reading room, followed by a modern storage area with around 5 km of shelf space.

The building is registered as a listed building under the number D-1-76-123-104 in the list of the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation .
