Osvaldo Koch Krefft

Osvaldo Koch Krefft (born December 30, 1896 in Santiago , † April 15, 1963 there ) was a Chilean politician.

Career

Koch Krefft studied at the Liceo de Aplicación and the Universidad de Chile . During his studies in 1914 he became a member of the Araucania Santiago fraternity .

During the two terms of his father-in-law Carlos Ibáñez del Campo he was a member of the Chilean state government in various functions. He was Minister of Justice from February 24, 1928 to April 4, 1930. In addition, from April 23 to May 12, 1928 and from August 21 to September 3, 1928, Deputy Minister of Public Education, from May 4 to June 5, 1928, Acting Minister of the Interior and from May 19 to July 27, 1929, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Country.

After Carlos Ibáñez returned to the office of President, Koch Krefft took over the office of Interior Minister on April 1, 1953, was Minister of Justice from March 2, 1954, Secretary General of the Government from March 26, 1954 and Foreign Minister of Chile from January 7, 1955 .
