Oswald Holzach
Oswald Holzach (* before 1452; † 1495 ) was a Basel businessman and politician .
Life
Like his father Henman, Oswald Holzach first learned the trade of plumber in Basel and was a good blacksmith. Later he worked as a businessman. In 1452 he acquired the guild rights for the key and in 1454 that for saffron . In 1474 he became the guild master of the saffron guild. In 1481 he was the first guild representative to become the chief guild master (second highest office in Basel after the mayor).
