Emil Stumpp Otfried Müller (1926)

Otfried Müller (* probably October 31, 1873 ; † 1945 ) was a German medic.

Live and act

From 1907 Otfried Müller was associate professor and head of the Medical Polyclinic in Tübingen and from 1912 full professor and head of the Medical Clinic in Tübingen. He was a pioneer in researching the disease of the capillaries , the smallest human blood vessels, which he presented in a German-language atlas as early as 1922. In his atlas he described in particular the characteristic capillaroscopic changes in systemic sclerosis . In 1914 he was elected a member of the Leopoldina .

Appreciation

Otfried-Müller-Strasse in Tübingen, named after him, leads to the medical clinic, which has been there since 1961.
