Otfried Strubelt

Otfried Strubelt (born September 9, 1933 in Koenigsberg , † August 19, 2002 in Lübeck ) was a German doctor and local politician.

Life

Strubelt grew up in Halle / Saale and on the island of Rügen . Strubelt studied medicine at the Universities of Greifswald, Berlin and Erlangen. In 1965 he became senior assistant at the Institute for Pharmacology at the Lübeck Medical Academy. In 1967 he received his habilitation and in 1974 Strubelt was appointed professor and director of the Institute for Toxicology at the Medical University of Lübeck. As a local politician was a member of the CDU and from 1986 to 1998 a member of the Lübeck citizenship. From 1990 to 1996 Strubelt was an honorary senator of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck and initially responsible for the public facilities, from 1994 for the office for waste management, city cleaning and market management.
