The language Utoro , also called Ditoro , Kavama , Kavarma or Litoro , is the Cordofan language of the Otoro , which is spoken in Sudan .
It belongs to the group of Talodi-Heiban languages within the Niger-Congo language family . It only has 10,000 speakers - and the trend is falling, as more and more speakers are adopting Standard Arabic as their mother tongue, which has been prescribed by the Sudanese government. However, the language uses the Latin alphabet .
