Otto Benesch Park is a 16,000 m² park in the Inzersdorf-Stadt district . The park is located at the northern end of the Wienerberg recreation area and to the east of a new district created as Biotope City on the former Coca-Cola grounds; at its northeastern end it is bordered by the streets Enge Lucken, Sickingengasse and Sahulkastraße. The park is part of the Favoriten landscape protection area , and the transition to the Wienerberg recreation area is fluid. In addition to meadows and an old tree population, the park has a toddler, children and youth playground, a sand playground and drinking fountain . Dogs are prohibited in the entire park.

history

The park was named on February 12, 1981 in the City Council Committee for Culture after the art historian and director of the Albertina Otto Benesch (1896–1964), who was released by the Nazi regime due to his wife's non- Aryan descent and went to the USA had to emigrate.
