Otto A. Schwimmbeck (born June 4, 1945 in Bad Kohlgrub in Upper Bavaria ) is a German entrepreneur and CEO of OAS AG .

Swimming pool was born the son of a chimney construction entrepreneur. After school and an apprenticeship at the aircraft manufacturer Messerschmitt , he worked for the weighing and dosing technology company Pfister. The step into self-employment took place in 1982 with the establishment of OAS GmbH . The development of the world's first calibratable computer system as part of a research and development project by the state of Lower Saxony in 1985 was significant for the weighing technology industry.

The 1990s were characterized by the establishment of nationwide bases and further expansion of the company. In 1991 the company was awarded first prize in the Bremer Landesbank innovation competition for successful concepts . In 2004 OAS GmbH was converted to a stock corporation. The company, which is based in Bremen, has around 200 employees at five locations in Germany and in 2009 generated sales of around 27 million euros. In 2001, Schwimmbeck took over the chairmanship of the newly founded IG Technologiepark Universität eV
