Otto Dannenberg

Otto Dannenberg (born August 21, 1879 in Heinrichsdorf , Oberbarnim district ; † August 4, 1941 in Memel ) was a German politician ( Economic Party , DStP ).

Life

After attending secondary school, Dannenberg completed an apprenticeship as a commercial gardener from 1893 to 1897 . From 1899 to 1901 he did military service with the 5th Baden Field Artillery Regiment No. 76 in Freiburg im Breisgau and then continued his professional training abroad for two years before setting up his own business as a commercial gardener in 1904. During the First World War he was employed as a deputy sergeant from 1914 to 1918. In addition to his professional activity, Dannenberg participated in the founding of various professional associations. He was also a board member of the Association of German Flower Shop Owners. He later became director of Deutsche Mittelstandsbank AG in Berlin-Charlottenburg .

Dannenberg was from 1922 to 1931 general secretary of the Reichspartei des Deutschen Mittelstandes (Economic Party), for which he was elected as a member of the Prussian state parliament in May 1928 . He resigned from the Economic Party at the beginning of 1931, was a non-attached member of parliament until July 1931, and then joined the German State Party (DStP), whose parliamentary group he belonged until he left the state parliament in 1932.
