Hans-Dieter Ohlenbusch

Hans-Dieter Ohlenbusch (born September 1, 1922 in Oldenburg , † January 4, 1988 in Aachen ) was a German biochemist and university professor .

Live and act

Ohlenbusch passed the Abitur in 1942 and completed a subsequent course of studies at the University of Göttingen in 1950 with the state examination. There were carried out in 1954 his PhD and a subsequent change as a research assistant at the Institute of Physiological Chemistry and Physical Chemistry of Kiel University , where in 1959 he obtained the habilitation. From 1966 to 1987 Ohlenbusch was a full professor of physiological chemistry at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen , where he also held the post of rector from 1984 to 1987 . He was also Vice President of the West German Rectors' Conference from 1986 to 1988 , where he was responsible for research. In Aachen in 1968 Ohlenbusch and many other professors from RWTH Aachen were among the signatories of the “ Marburg Manifesto ”, which formed an academic front against the emerging co-determination at universities.

Hans-Dieter Ohlenbusch found his final resting place in the Aachen forest cemetery .
