Otto Ewald (cameraman)

Otto Ewald (born May 28, 1900 in Koblenz , † 1934 ) was a German cameraman .

Ewald was the cameraman for the silent film “Luther. A film of the German Reformation ”, which, after its premiere in 1927, led to controversy between the denominations and some censorship interventions. The film was restored and digitally revised by the Koblenz Federal Archives at the beginning of the 21st century . From 1929 to 1930 Ewald photographed a series of educational films for medical students that were produced by Ewald Film GmbH (Berlin). He was a member of Sepp Allgeier's camera team in the propaganda film Ewiger Wald , which was released in 1936.
