Otto Foltz

Otto Foltz (born April 30, 1889 in Kobylan , Hungary, † May 21, 1942 in Linz ) was Chamber Secretary and Greater German politician .

Life

After attending grammar school in Linz, Foltz, the son of an estate manager, studied law and world trade in Vienna. There he became a member of the Academic Burschenschaft Upper Austrian Teutons in Vienna in 1909 . He took part in the First World War and received several war awards. He then worked as a secretary and later as deputy general manager in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Linz and then in the Upper Danube Chamber of Commerce . As an economics and administration specialist, he held leading positions in various institutions and companies : Landes-Hypothekenanstalt , Brauerei Zipf , Gewerbeförderungsinstitut and Landes-Eisenbahnrat . For the Greater German Party he was active in the Linz municipal council from 1923 to 1934 and in the Upper Austrian state parliament from 1925 to 1931 . As a representative of the moderate trend, he enjoyed a reputation among all parties.
