Otto Glück (born November 29, 1918 in Linz ; † August 16, 2003 ibid) was an Austrian physician and politician ( ÖVP ). Glück was the executive city councilor in Vienna from 1959 to 1973 .

Otto Glück was born the son of a lieutenant in the reserve in Linz and attended elementary school and secondary school in Steyr . In 1937 he completed his school education at the Realgymnasium Steyr with the Matura and in 1937 began studying medicine at the University of Graz. In 1938 he moved to Vienna and received his doctorate in medicine on March 28, 1942 with excellent results. As a result, he worked in the surgical university clinic with Wolfgang Denk until May 1942 , after which he was drafted to Bremen for military service. After his return, Glück worked briefly as an assistant in the hospital in Kirchdorf an der Krems and between May 1945 and April 1951 was employed at the II. University Women's Clinic in Vienna. From May 1952 to December 1959, Glück was medical secretary of the city council for health care. In December 1959, Glück was elected Executive City Councilor for Health Care, a role he held until July 5, 1973.
