Otto Graunke

Otto Graunke (born February 3, 1861 in Schivelbein , † April 21, 1942 in Berlin ) was a Low German writer .

The son of a switchman attended the Latin school in Schivelbein from 1870 to 1875 and then worked as a clerk at the main tax office there. In 1881 he went to the military in Stettin, where he served in the district command until 1888. He then became an official of the Prussian National Insurance Company in Stettin .

From 1901 Graunke wrote Low German poems and prose pieces for newspapers and magazines, which he later published in books.
