Otto craftsman

Otto Handwerker (born August 23, 1877 in Würzburg , † May 19, 1947 in Munich ) was a German librarian .

Handwerker studied philology and history in Würzburg , joined the state library service and became an assessor at the university library there. From 1928 to 1937 he was director of the university library and honorary professor, from 1937 director of the Bavarian State Library in Munich. In addition to works on book and library history, he published various works on Franconian history.
