Otto Kernstock

Otto Kernstock (born September 14, 1952 in Lilienfeld ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Kernstock was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 2003 to 2013 . He lives in Wilhelmsburg , is married and has two daughters.

Life

After finishing elementary and secondary school, Kernstock attended a polytechnical course and then learned the trade of retail salesman. He did his military service and is an employee of the Lower Austrian Regional Health Insurance Fund. After being elected to the Wilhelmsburg municipal council in 1983, he was promoted to executive councilor in 1990 and was vice mayor of the municipality from 1995 to 2003. Kernstock has been city party chairman of the SPÖ-Wilhelmsburg since 1989 and was chairman of the tenants' association in Wilhelmsburg for six years. Kernstock has represented the SPÖ in the Lower Austrian state parliament since April 24, 2003 and is the health spokesman for the SPÖ state parliament club. He is also a board member of the Niederösterreichische Landeskliniken-Holding, the Association for Village and Urban Renewal, the Education and Heimatwerk and the Lower Austria Health Forum. Within the party, he holds the functions of deputy chairman of the Volkshaus / Arbeiterheim association, and is a member of the district committee of the SPÖ-St. Pölten and member of the district council.
