Otto Koke

Otto Koke (born April 22, 1909 in Oberehnheim ; † December 18, 1966 ) was a German forester and hunting writer .

Life

Koke was the youngest of five children. After elementary school he attended the Georgianum grammar school in Lingen , which he left in 1926 after the tenth grade to begin an apprenticeship as a forester in Walsrode. After passing the district forester examination, he first worked in the district forester in Wietze , before taking over the district forester in the Lüchow forest office in 1953. There he lived with his wife Agnes in the forester's house. During this time he wrote most of his books. He wrote the numerous articles and series in forest and hunting magazines in the last third of his professional life and in retirement. Koke died on December 18, 1966.
