Otto Ludwig von Meltzing

Otto Ludwig von Meltzing (born October 9, 1805 in Winsen (Aller) , † May 8, 1883 in Ebstorf ) was a German manor owner, administrative officer and parliamentarian.

Life

Meltzing studied at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . In 1825 he became a member of the Corps Lunaburgia Göttingen. After graduating, he entered the service of the Kingdom of Hanover . In 1853 he became a bailiff, later senior bailiff of the Medingen district . He was the owner of the Ebstorf manor.

Until 1866 Meltzing belonged to the First Chamber of the Estates Assembly of the Kingdom of Hanover . From 1879 to 1882 he sat as a member of the constituency of Hanover 27 (Dannenberg) in the Prussian House of Representatives . He was an intern in the center's faction.
