Otto Maria Krämer

Otto Maria Krämer (* 1964 ) is a German church musician .

Krämer studied church music at the Folkwang University in Essen and at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf with Wolfgang Seifen and Herbert Callhoff . In 1994 he passed his A-exam . Since 1993 he has worked as a cantor and organist in Straelen on the Lower Rhine. In 1995 he was second prize winner in the international organ competition of the city of Schwäbisch Gmünd within the framework of the European Church Music Festival and in 1995 the only prize winner at the Concours d'Improvisation a l'orgue of the city of Montbrison (France). He has taught organ improvisation at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ as a visiting professor on numerous CD recordings (Aeolus).

Since 2013 he has been teaching liturgical organ playing / organ improvisation at the Cologne University of Music and Dance .
