Otto Milfait

Otto Milfait (born January 28, 1926 ) is an Austrian homeland researcher.

Life

Otto Milfait attended school in Gallneukirchen and St. Oswald near Freistadt . At the beginning of his professional activity he was active in forestry and hunting. In the war years from 1943 to 1945 he was deployed as a soldier on the Western Front and became a prisoner of war after the fighting ended . Through his later work as a customs officer , he had many opportunities to get in touch with the rural population and to get to know the specific dialect and local customs. After finishing his professional career, he wrote a book with his collected dialect expressions. Otto Milfait also deals intensively with places of worship from bygone times. He highlighted these findings in several books and various brochures.
