Otto Naumann (born April 4, 1895 in Colditz , † after 1945) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending primary school, Otto Naumann learned the metalworking trade. In addition, he attended the trade school in Colditz. From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War with the Saxon Reserve Jägerbataillon 26 / I , in which he was wounded and received several awards.

In 1922 Naumann joined the National Socialists (he himself declared " old guard "). From 1922 to 1930 he held the office of local group leader in the party. In 1929 he became a city councilor in Colditz and a year later, in 1930, he became a member of the state parliament of Saxony. In the party he was appointed district leader at the same time. In 1932 he took over the post of Deputy Mayor of Colditz. He also became a member of the district committee.

After the National Socialist seizure of power in the spring of 1933, Naumann was appointed district inspector for the Leipzig district headquarters . Also in 1933 he took over the post of Vice President of the Saxon State Parliament . After its dissolution in autumn 1933, Naumann received a mandate for the National Socialist Reichstag , to which he belonged from November 1933 until the end of Nazi rule in spring 1945 as a representative of constituency 29 (Leipzig). In the SS he achieved the rank of Obersturmbannführer.

Since 1934 Naumann was also state master craftsman of Saxony and from 1940 president of the Dresden Chamber of Crafts .
