Otto Plachta (* 1911 ; † 1993 ) was a German painter and trail master of the Wernigerode district .

Life

He was an honorary member of the Harz Club Wernigerode and the Nöschenröder shooting master . One of his lasting merits is the preservation of the Harz Club's traditional signposts during the 40th anniversary of the GDR in the East Harz . To commemorate Otto Plachta, a memorial stone was erected in Christianental near Wernigerode and commemorative ceremonies are held in his honor.
