Nöschenrode
Nöschenrode is a district of Wernigerode in Saxony-Anhalt .
Geographical location
Nöschenrode is located at the foot of the Harz Mountains in the Mühlental. The Zillierbach , which comes from the Zillierbachtalsperre , flows through the village . The federal highway 244 runs through the village .
history
A first mention is made of spots Nöschenrode as Nationals settlement Noscherot in 1370 in a document. The place arose below Wernigerode Castle and belonged to the County of Wernigerode . On the banks of the Zillierbach in the Mühlental there were several mills that were mentioned as early as 1417, including a sawmill, oil mill and marble mill. In 1507 a count's tavern was mentioned, which was operated as the Gasthof zum Goldenen Hirsch until the 20th century . In 1598 the parish hall at the Burgtor was built, which is known as the office building and serves as a restaurant. The rifle club has existed since the 17th century and had a rifle house on the Anger am Großer Bleek. With the receipt of the wood justice , the place received an economic boom. On September 30, 1929 Nöschenrode was incorporated into Wernigerode.
