Otto Sill
Otto Sill (born May 12, 1908 in Gransee near Potsdam , † May 23, 1985 in Berlin ) was a German jazz musician ( clarinet , saxophone ) and photographer.
Sill first learned the violin . After private training, he was a member of James Kok's orchestra from 1933 to 1935 , and then played with Erhard Bauschke until 1940 . He can also be heard on records with both orchestras. In the GDR he emerged primarily as a jazz photographer; his photographs were also used for the covers of Amiga and FMP records.
