Otto von Münchhausen (District Administrator, 1780)
Otto Friedrich Johann Gerlach von Münchhausen (born December 2, 1780 in Kalitz , † January 13, 1872 in Leitzkau ) was the first Prussian district administrator in the Jerichow I district and secret councilor and canon in Magdeburg from 1816 to 1850 .
He came from the noble family von Münchhausen and was the eldest son of Gerlach von Münchhausen (1740–1791), landlord on Kalitz, and Marie Charlotte von Brietzke (1759–1845). He studied at the University of Erlangen and became a member of the Corps Marchia there in 1801. Eight children resulted from his marriage to Wilhelmine von Meyerink.
