Ottomar Singer

Max Ottomar Singer (born July 7, 1865 in Rothenkirchen ; † May 12, 1945 there ) was a German entrepreneur and national liberal politician .

Live and act

The son of the top manufacturer Hermann Singer († 1882) attended elementary school in Rothenkirchen. After three years of further training at a further education school and private lessons, he took over the hair tip and wig accessories factory with 15 permanent workers and 40 home workers in 1882 after the death of his father. He brought this to international importance.

Singer was politically active in the National Liberal Party . From 1909 to 1918 he represented the 48th rural constituency in the Second Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament .
