The Outcast Islands (from English outcast , 'expelled, banished, expelled' ) are a group of two small, 800 m apart islands and surrounding cliffs in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . They are located 3 km southwest of Bonaparte Point off the southwest coast of Anvers Island .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1957 after its isolated location in relation to the other islands in the vicinity of Arthur Harbor .
