Outpro TV was a private broadcaster based in Kempten (Allgäu) , which went on air on December 16, 2007. The program was discontinued after just over three months. It was a German-language thematic channel for outdoor athletes and alpine enthusiasts. The regional focus was on the Allgäu , Upper Bavaria and the neighboring Alpine regions of Vorarlberg , Graubünden , Tyrol and Salzburg . The main pillar of the program was the “Weather Center”. Every full and half hour, the meteorologists who specialize in mountain weather informed the outdoor community about the expected weather in the individual regions.

The sender claim was: Outpro TV - there's more to it outside. Due to financial difficulties, no more programs have been produced since March 26, 2008. 45 of the 60 employees were laid off. The managing director of the alpine television channel was Peter Rampp, who is also a member of the board of the German investor television, DAF , and also heads the stock market-oriented program there.
Broadcast times
Outpro TV broadcast daily from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 6 p.m. to midnight in the evening.
A total of 60 editors, reporters, cameramen and moderators worked for the free satellite channel. All members of the editorial team were active outdoor athletes with several years of TV and media experience.
reception
The program was broadcast on the Astra satellite 19.2 degrees east (12.480 GHz, vertical polarization, transponder 104) and was freely receivable. OUTPRO-TV could be seen on cable in Baden-Württemberg, Switzerland and in the networks of Munich and Hamburg. The feed of the transmitter into other German cable networks has already been negotiated. OUTPRO TV shared the broadcasting slot with German investor television. Today only the German investor television broadcasts on the Astra frequency.
