history
In 1150 the place came in exchange from the monastery of St. Blasien to the monastery of Elchingen . The Bailiwick law had the Margrave of Burgau . In 1556, Wettenhausen Monastery was named as the owner of Oxenbronn. Originally called Ochsenbrunnen. In the center of the village there is a well where the cattle (oxen) were watered. Thus the name changed in the course of time from Ochsenbrunnen to Ochsenbrunn and finally to today's name Oxenbronn.
There was also a meadow in the center of the village with a pond.
